Project 3: Draft 2

The commercial I am doing is call “Unleash Your Inner Mustang.”  This commercial still gives me goose bumps to this day.  The author of this commercial is of course Ford Motor Company.  They have many messages that try to get their customers to buy.

The audience is people who are looking to buy a unique Mustang that they would like because Ford is giving this option.  As you seen in the commercial, each one had a different color.  The white one for example had black decals on it to match the man’s personality.  Ford didn’t do this before.

The message is to get people to “buy the new 2013 Ford Mustang.”  Young and retired people are the biggest customers.  Young people because they want a new sports car.  Retired people because they have a lot of money.  So they try to draw attention to those crowds.

My thesis is the commercial is putting you in the position where the car has many options.  They want you to buy a unique Mustang.  From the 2012 to the 2013, there are many more options.  All in all, Ford just wants to make money!

American Muscle Cars
American Cars are a part of American history. They date back to the mid 1900's. I have been around Muscle Cars almost all of my life. My family for example, we have a 1969 Ford Mustang and 1970 Ford Mustang Fastback. My grandfather owned a Ford Torino at a time too.  They are both stunning cars and will throw you back in the seat when you put the pedal to the floor and you better hold on!
The top of the line Muscle Cars are made from Ford, Chevy, and Dodge.  Ford has the Mustang, Gran Torino, Torino, Fairlane, and Falcon.  Chevy’s is the Camaro, Corvette, and Chevelle.  Dodge has the Charger and Challenger.  Then you also have Pontiac which has the Trans Am/Firebird and the GTO.  Mercury has the Comet and Cougar.
Those are most of the muscle cars but there are some others.  If you ask your relatives that lived in the late 60’s and early 70’s, they will tell you how the cars were made for speed, not fuel economy.  I really wished it could still be like that.  They were built usually with steel, but you could purchase aftermarket parts to make it lighter and even faster.

Draft 1

I will be comparing the 2013 Ford Mustang GT500 to the 2013 Chevy Camaro ZL1.

1. GT500
     A. 662 Horsepower
     B. More lightweight
     C. 631 pounds of Torque
2. ZL1
     A. 580 Horsepower
     B. Heavier
     C. 556 pounds of Torque

It's kind of given who the winner of this race would be but I want to tell you this.  Ever since the late 60's, Ford and Chevy have always had there battles.  Trucks, muscle cars, or just fuel economy.  They have one hell of a rivalry.  The GT500 first debute in 1967, where you all have probably seen the car as "Elenor" in gone in 60 seconds.  The GT500's production stopped in 1970 and then rebuted in 2007.  The Camaro ZL1 was first debuted last year.  The sales of Mustangs verses Camaros are very close but the Camaro beats the Mustand in sales due to the new look.
